Municipal support
Riga pays for part of the everyday support its residents need. We do not duplicate that: we work where it ends.
The Riga Social Service provides home care, a companion-assistant service, the “safety button”, hot lunches and video visits. Eligibility depends on an assessment and on income. Call us and we will help you work out what you are entitled to and what is worth applying for before paying for a private service.

Which is better value: a package or one-off help?
In a package an hour costs €45, one-off it is €70. If you need help regularly, a package is cheaper from 8 hours a month.
How do I pay?
Once a month by invoice and bank transfer. You can pay from abroad if the children handle payment.
Can the municipality pay part of it?
We are a private service. The municipality pays for its own services, and we help you work out what you are entitled to.
